Korean singer and TV personality Eric Nam and Hollywood actress Chloë Grace Moretz received a standing ovation for their hilarious skit and ode to Korean culture in the May 23 episode of “SNL Korea”.
For their skit Eric Nam played Chloë’s host in South Korea. Eric Nam introduces Chloë to various Korea trends including “mokbang” and “Gangnam Style” after the female actress reveals that she wants to interact more with her Korean fans and impress them. The funny and bright Chloë puts on her game face and does her best interpretation of the Korean trends presented to her.
Following the initial broadcast of the latest “SNL Korea” instalment, Chloë Grace Moretz topped real-time search keywords rankings in various web portals. Viewers also applauded her genuine interest in Korean culture and trying out various aspects of it for herself. Eric Nam, on the other hand, was once again praised by netizens for his flawless hosting skills and for being polite and sweet towards Chloë.
Eric Nam and Chloë Moretz also bonded during filming. The Korean star uploaded a photo on Instagram of him, Chloë, and the actress’ brother Trevor Duke Moretz. The caption read, “Had an awesome week together with Chloe Grace Moretz, Eddie Nam, and Trevor Duke Moretz. See you all again soon!”
Chloë Moretz was invited to South Korea through Production O, which according to the company’s Instagram page brings American celebrities to South Korea for collaborations such as this “SNL” appearance. Production O has already worked with Paris Hilton and Miranda Kerr, and the company says there’s still “more to come”.
