Sad news for Tiffany x Nichkhun shippers: it was recently confirmed that the couple has officially broken up after 1 year and 5 months of romance.

A close acquaintance of the couple confirmed that the two broke up mainly because of their heavy schedules. Girls' Generation and 2PM are both busy with comeback preparations and other overseas activities. Having less to no time at all for each other has apparently gotten in the way of their relationship, leading Nichkhun and Tiffany to naturally drift apart in the end. Nonetheless, Nickhun and Tiffany ended things on good terms, and all their close friends have been informed of their split.

"When we contacted them for verification, they said it's true that they've parted ways," SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment said in response to the reports.

Tiffany and Nichkhun revealed the truth about their romantic relationship in April 2014, but it was also confirmed that the couple has been dating for 4 months prior. The two have been close friends for a long time since they both share the same interests and background. Their friendship naturally progressed into a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. Fans hope, however, that even though they are no longer together they would remain good friends.

In the meantime, 2PM is scheduled to make their Korean comeback this June. Girls' Generation are also slated to return with new material sometime in June or July. With that said, there's still a good chance Tiffany and Nichkhun will be seen together on stage while promoting.

It's a sad day for KhunFany shippers.
