SM Entertainment Announces a Pre-Debut Group Called 'SMRookies!'

SM catches up with the rookies category by forming a pre-debut group SM Entertainment has announced that a pre-debut group consists of their best trainees will be called SMRookies The said announcement was made on SMTOWN's official facebook page, together with the photos of three of the members.

SM Entertainment has announced that a pre-debut group consists of their best trainees will be called SMRookies

The said announcement was made on SMTOWN's official facebook page, together with the photos of three of the members. The members revealed are Taeyong (18 years old), Seulgi (18 years old), and Jeno (13 years old). It shows that the label will not be disappointing fans with their good looking faces.

SMRookies will be introducing SM's new "Co-Creation" system. Fans will be able to join in the preliminary events and showcases before their official debut. The rookies will have the choice to form different groups with each other, and show their everyday lives and their trainings to fans. These rookies will be also joining in concert and variety shows to gain the support of fans. Expect also cover songs by their company's seniors and their original composed songs in open performances to cater to fans their talents.

Seulgi seems to be the most recognized with the followers of "Radio Star." In a past episode in August, it was reported that Kyuhyun had a crush on Seulgi, who was known as an SM trainee back then. In the show he sent her a message, "I hope you are training hard. I'll cheer for you so you make it big. But don't become too famous." After the episode had been broadcasted, Seulgi turned out to be a hot topic for netizens. She is labelled, "the second Taeyeon" among fans. It has been five years since her training and has even practiced with Krystal and Sulli, who are the same age.

SM has also revealed two video teasers of Seulgi. In the first video, she sang, "White Christmas" as she walks along the streets of Seoul, and in the other she shares a cake with the camera while "Sweet Cake,"written by Super Junior's Donghae, plays in the background.
