SM Entertainment recently introduced three of their newest talents that are part of the company's pre-debut team "SM Rookies". One of the members is Seulgi, and 19-year-old rookie who is now linked with Super Junior member Cho Kyuhyun.
The singer recently took to Twitter to express his annoyance over media outlets that have magnified the issue about him dating SM Rookie's Seulgi. Kyuhyun said, "I have no choice but to address the matter on Twitter and say that the news headlines are written wrongly. [Seulgi] is not my girlfriend, and as a senior I was only wishing her well in her future career. Nevertheless I hope you all support Seulgi, Taeyong, and Jeno in their careers instead of pitting me as a lover for Seulgi."
The issue started after Kyuhyun mentioned Seulgi in a prior episode of the MBC TV variety show "Radio Star".
The hype over SM Rookies heated up today when SM Entertainment revealed several photos and video clips to allow fans to get acquainted with the agency's newest stars. In the coming days, SM Entertainment has planned to unveil more information about Seulgi, Jeno, and Taeyong to acquaint them with fans.
Part of SM Rookies' activities include a release of remakes of songs popularized by their seniors in SM Entertainment as well as appearing in shows and contests where their training regimens and everyday routine will be featured.
SM Rookie is not yet an official group, but rather a pre-debut team that will prepare members for their official debuts with possibly different groups in the future.
