Super Junior's Siwon and Girls' Generation's Sooyoung Become UNICEF's Official Santas

SM Entertainment talents Choi Siwon and Choi Sooyoung were recently appointed to become the official "santas" for UNICEF's holidays campaign.

Super Junior Choi Siwon and Girls' Generation's Choi Sooyoung were recently appointed to become the official Mr. and Miss Claus for UNICEF's latest campaign.

The Korean Committee for UNICEF made the announcement on December 17, declaring that both SM Entertainment artists will join publicity convoys as the campaign's official endorsers.

"Sooyoung has participate in a variety of volunteer activities and so has Choi Siwon, who has served as a UNICEF delegate for two years. The two will be joining us in our mission to get attention and raise awareness for children in need. Sooyoung and Siwon both fit the role of Santa," UNICEF explained.

Despite their packed schedules, which includes the upcoming SMTOWN WEEK, Sooyoung and Siwon did not show any hesitation and immediately joined the cause. They've already filmed the promotional video for UNICEF's Santa Campaign.

"I'm in the middle of a tight schedule, but I'm honoured knowing that my talent is being used for something very meaningful. I wholeheartedly decided to join in because I want to give back the loved that I've received to these children," Sooyoung expressed, "I know everyone is busy with end-of-the-year festivities, but I hope everyone will have the time and heart to become a Santa and give hope or even a small helping hand to children all over the world who are in need."

On his part, Choi Siwon said, "Every time I work with UNICEF, I always feel a sense of responsibility and duty." He continued, "Please participate in the Santa campaign and give presents that will save the lives of children who are in desperate need of help!"
