It seems that SM Entertainment artists' have been making a series of wins for six times now.
Named as one of the big three music agencies in Korea, has recently achieved an astounding accomplishment, with their artists prevailing the Golden Disk Award top prize six years in a row. For this year's winner, their male group EXO has won the Disk Daesang or Top Album with their album "XOXO."
SM Entertainment began their winning mark when TVXQ won the Disk Daesang for their album "Mirotic." Super Junior then won the award in 2009 with their album "Sorry," and then Girls' Generation took the award in 2010 with "Oh!" Super Junior then took the awards in 2011 and 2012 with their albums "Mr. Simple" and "Sexy, Free and Single."
To explain the SM Entertainment's triumph at the Golden Disk Awards, a representative from the agency stated, "Generally, the music and performance receive a lot of love, but the contents are the most important. So we try to increase the value of our albums."
