SM Entertainment Deny Rumours Saying Girls' Generation Comeback Will Be On February 5

Amidst rumours saying Girls' Generation is coming back on February 5, SM Entertainment announced that no definite date has been scheduled yet.

Following the news reports revealing information about Girls' Generation's comeback this year, fans have been wildly speculating about the girls' upcoming concept and track.

Aside from the reports, fans have also been taking cues from hints given by members of Girls' Generation themselves. During their thank you speech at the "23^rd Seoul Music Awards," Yuri and Tiffany wrote "gamasahae-o" instead of "gamsahae-yo", which means "five". Fans translated this to mean that the girls could be returning on February 5.

On Instagram, Taeyeon posted a photo of a candy product inside a glass cup that read "5% juice". Another photo saw her posing with a V-sign that could mean the roman numeral V for "5".

With this, fans are expecting Girls' Generation to make their comeback on the February 5 broadcast of MBC's "Show Champion".

However, SM Entertainment refuted speculations on January 29 in an interview with Star N, "We still have not decided on any definite comeback schedule yet."
