Dal Shabet Admits They Received Criticism After Being Compared To Girls' Generation During Debut

Dal Shabet appeared as guests on "Beatles Code 3D" and talked about an instance during their debut when they were compared to Girls' Generation.

In the recent episode of "Beatles Code 3D", sexy girl group Dal Shabet appeared as guests and talked about an instance during their debut when they were compared to Girls' Generation.

MC Shin Dong Yup said, "I heard when Dal Shabet just debuted, they were dubbed the "second Girls' Generation". The members of Dal Shabet didn't even star this, but I heard they were slammed with negative comments from fans of Girls' Generation because of this."

MBLAQ's Mir also added, "In addition, there were even a lot of articles saying Serri looked like Jessica".

Serri, surprised, touched her face and asked, "Do I still look like her?" To which Shin Dong Yup replied, "If you put the pictures side-by-side, you'll see similarities, right?"

Serri responded, "I was very happy. I got that comment even before I debuted so I was really happy to be compared to Girls' Generation, whom I look up to. However, it drew a lot of criticism on us, which was upsetting."

Shin Dong Yup asked, "You had a hard time at first, right?" And Subin answered, "We had a hard time for quite a while." Ahyoung commented, "At first, it was interesting to get criticized [since it happened before our debut] so it wasn't that bad at first, but when we started promoting and we kept hearing bad commented, it got tough for us."

Nevertheless, Dal Shabet has grown into a group that is popular in their own right.
