Hwayoung has been on the works of possibly signing for Wellmade StarM. It was said that the former T-ara member, was seen at the agency's office frequently and had been meeting with the agency's representatives. A source said that Hwayoung has been looking for an entertainment agency that could help her with both her acting and singing career.

It has been said that the one responsible for setting up a meeting between Hwayoung and Wellmade StarM's representative is the famous producer, Shinsadong Tiger, who found out that the singer was looking for such agency.

Wellmade StarM is known as big entertainment agency that produces best actors and actresses such as Ha Ji Won, Oh Yeon Seo and Lee Jong Suk. However, the agency also has joined the music industry with organizing international concerts for Korean artists.

Meanwhile, Hwayoung was a former member of girl group T-ara. She and her twin sister, 5Dolls member, Hyoyoung, were featured in SPEED's song "Lovey Dovey Plus," which has been homage to T-ara's song, "Lovey Dovey." However, she withdrew from T-ara due to the bullying scandal, which involved her and the senior members. She announced on September 2012, while revealing a 51-second rapping clip, that she will be returning the music industry with a more mature image.
