Kim Yuna Files Lawsuit Against People Invading Her Privacy

Olympic champ Kim Yuna will file a lawsuit against people making false accusations about her and invading her private life

Figure skating champ Kim Yuna has filed for legal action against people prying into her private life.

Kim Yuna's manager stated, "Following the reports revealing Kim Yuna's dating photos, videos that captured the dating incident have been circulating uncontrollably. There are even false reports being published by various media outlets. In line with this, the photos and videos that are affecting the couple's character and have made an alarming intrusion into their private lives are being punished."

"It's not just the media people that are doing guesswork. There are even false statements, comments, SNS posts, and blogs online. It has gone past the point of defamation of character by invading Kim Yuna's private life and circulating false rumours."

The manager added, "If these untruths continue to spread, and if the malicious posts are still uploaded on the internet, we will quickly act with a lawsuit on the grounds of defamation of character. Making [and uploading] videos and photos of Kim Yuna's privately life is clearly an invasion of her right to privacy. Even though as an athlete she's considered a public figure, it is still illegal to reveal her private life without proper consent."
