Earlier, a Korean news outlet reported that the cast members of KBS 2TV's "Inspiring Generation" have not received their salaries.
A representative of Ray & Mo, the production company in charge of the drama, clarified the issue in an interview with OSEN on March 13. "With regard to the unpaid appearance fees, a lot of things contained in the report are not true. For one, nearly all of the appearance fees for the leading actors have been settled."
"[However], we have cancelled our contract with the company assisting in the management of the supporting claims who've made the claims that they haven't received their payments yet. The said company had succeeding unreasonable requests, such as asking for payment that haven't been verified."
"It is embarrassing that the issue rose amidst a situation in which we are still working with another company," the representative said. In conclusion, the representative said that they no longer work with the supporting actors from the said company and that the issue has already been taken care of.
Prior to the drama's airing, "Inspiring Generation" made a huge buzz after the production company revealed its jaw-dropping budget of a whopping 15 billion won (approx. 13 million USD).
