"You Who Came From the Stars" Is the Most Watched Show in China

SBS drama series "You Who Came From the Stars" received another award for being the most watched show on a Chinese streaming website.

SBS drama series "You Who Came From the Stars" received another distinction for being the most watched show on a Chinese streaming website ever.

Prior to Kim Soo Hyun's fan meeting on April 6 in Beijing, he was given a plaque of appreciation by Chinese streaming site, iQiyi. The said website currently holds the broadcast copyright for the drama series.

The PPS (Pay Per Series) section of the iQiyi website, fans can watch a particular series for an unlimited number of time. "You Who Came From the Stars" has raked in 2 billion views and has gone to become the most watched drama series on the website's history.

"You Who Came From the Stars" dethroned previous high-rating dramas by a landslide. In comparison, Kim Soo Hyun's futuristic love story bested "The Heirs" by a 9.9 billion difference. "The Heirs" has only scored 4.8 billion views so far.

Over 100 media outlets were present at the Beijing press conference where iQiyi awarded Kim Soo Hyun with a specially-made plaque.

Kim Soo Hyun continues to earn massively popularity throughout China. So far, he's had fan meetings in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Beijing. He's also visited 7 Asian countries for his fan meeting.
