After the ferry incident, a lot of shows on TV got cancelled ast every one was gave respect to the grievance of the families affected in the Sewol incident. However, it has been announced by the big three channels that they will be resuming in broadcasting variety shows.
Representatives of MBC stated to the media, "April 30th's 'Radio Star', May 1st's new pilot program 'Stargazing', May 3rd's 'Infinity Challenge' and May 4th's Sunday night programs will air in their regular time slot."
'Radio Star' will be also filming once again with new guests Song Seung Hun, Jo Yeon Jung, On Joo Wan, and director Kim Dae Woo.
As for 'Four Guys One Girl', 'I Live Alone', and 'Quiz to Change the World', these show has started airing over this past weekend and will also continue this weekend.
But as for music shows and comedies like, 'Music Core', 'Yesterday', and 'Comedy Road' are still currently suspended.
Meanwhile, KBS and SBS have also issued a statement to resume variety shows but will be suspending music and comedy shows.
A Representative for SBS revealed that although most variety shows are resuming as scheduled, they have been edited to give respect to the current situation.
