Bora Says There Are Difficult Aspects to Acting, Bu She's Learning From Lee Jong Suk

In the recently held press conference for the upcoming drama series "Doctor Stranger" on April 29, SISTAR member Bora shared her thoughts on her first acting performance on the show.

Bora said, "I am working really hard so that I don't cause any problems for the other actors."

Since the confirmation of her role, Bora has become the subject of envy for girls as she will appear as Lee Jong Suk's love interest in "Doctor Stranger". On this, Bora commented, "There are still a lot of things I don't yet know when it comes to acting and there are difficult [things to learn], but feel comfortable because I just keep asking Lee Jong Suk questions and act while converse at the same time. I am already learning a lot just by watching Lee Jong Suk perform. I am really learning a lot, from every gaze to every behaviour."

On the show, SISTAR's Bora plays Lee Chang Yi, a tomboyish girl who escaped North Korea to find a better life in South Korea. Through her journey, she starts saving up to have her mother escape from South Korea as well.  Due to her role as a North Korean native, Bora got to speak North Korean dialect. Bora shared, "North Korea dialect is extremely difficult. I am studying and trying hard while watching movies. So now I have some fun speaking in the North Korean dialect when filming. I prepared bit by bit for my acting performance while I was promoting [as a singer with SISTAR]. I am also comforted by the fact that I don't play a big role in 'Doctor Stranger.'"

At the press conference, the show's producer also expressed his thoughts as to why he got Bora to play the role. "To be honest, I had a selfish motive when I cast SISTAR's Bora. I'm personally a huge fan of SISTAR," he jokingly said, making the audience laugh.

Bora appeared at the press conference wearing an elegant black outfit and accessorized it with a yellow ribbon which symbolizes hope in Korea following the tragic Sewol Ferry accident.
