Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Woo Bin, Park Shin Hye, Go Ara, and More Heat Up Baeksang Awards' Popularity Contest

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Woo Bin; Park Bo Young and Girls' Generation's Yuri, and more are pitted against one another for the Popularity Award at the 50th Baeksang Arts Award.

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Woo Bin; Park Bo Young and Girls' Generation's Yuri, and more are pitted against one another for the Popularity Award at the 50^th Baeksang Arts Award. The online voting for the same award is nearly coming to a close but the partial results remain unpredictable and it could still be anyone's game at this point.

For the film category, the obvious nominees for the Male Popularity Award is Kim Soo Hyun for "Secretly and Greatly" and is currently in first place. He is followed by B1A4'S Jin Young for "Miss Granny. "Friends 2" star Kim Woo Bin takes over third place. MBLAQ's Lee Joon is in fourth place for his stellar lead performance in "Rough Play". Lee Hyun Woo closes the top five for his appearance in "Secretly and Greatly".

In the female category, Girls' Generation's Yuri leads the pack with an overwhelming number of votes for her debut acting performance in "No Breathing". She currently holds a staggering voting rate that is nearing 75%. In second place is Park Bo Young for "Hot Young Bloods". Shim Eun Kyung is in third place for her role in "Miss Granny".

The TV category is a fiercer battle ground than the Film category. Kim Soo Hyun ("You Who Came From the Stars") and Park Yoochun ("Three Days") are going neck to next for first place, but however are currently in first and second place, respectively. "Reply 1994" star Jung Woo is in third place with 12.6% of votes. SHINee's Minho also remains a top favourite for her role in "Medical Top Team". Closing the list is B1A4's Baro for "God's Gift - 14 Days".

The female category is also heating up with immensely popular contenders. Park Shin Hye ("The Heirs") and Girls' Generation's YoonA ("Prime Minister and I") in particular are fighting heavily for first place, already consuming about 90% of the voting population. Jun Ji Hyun ("You Who Came From The Stars"), Go Ara ("Reply 1994"), and IU ("You're The Best, Lee Soon Shin") follow the close competition.

Fans still have the chance to vote for their favourites as the final voting will end on May 24.

Furthermore, the 50^th Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on May 27 at the Kyunghee University Peace Hall.
