"The Prince," which is Rain's Hollywood comeback movie, is set to show on the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on May 14.
“The Prince” is the actor/singer first film after his military discharge last year, and also his first Hollywood movie in five years since “Ninja Assassin” in 2009. This will also be the first time Rain will be playing thr antagonist role.
The movie is an action thriller and it will be directed by Brian A. Miller. It will also star actors such as Jason Patric, Bruce Willis, John Cusack, and 50 Cent. In the movie, Rain plays the right-hand man of gang boss Bruce Willis, who plots revenge against John Cusack.
Though the film will be shown in Korea at the latter part of the year, “The Prince” will officially start marketing and promotions at the Cannes Film Festival. The teaser and movie posters are to be released online.
Meanwhile, Rain is filming the Chinese film “Hong Yan Lu Shui,” which will premiere on November 11. He also will soon be selecting a comeback work for his return to the Korean small screen.
