On May 15, EXO-M leader Kris shocked the entertainment industry by filing a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, seeking to have his contract with the agency terminated. While SM Entertainment mostly remained quiet on the issue, Kris' camp went on to reveal that the lawsuit was filed on the grounds that the agency violated the singer's basic human rights by being one-sided in determining his contract and schedule, having no concern for his opinion and health, and more.

Amidst all this, fans are showing a growing concern for EXO's overall welfare and future activities, particularly their looming three-day concert "The Lost Planet" on May 23-25. Despite the blown-up controversy, SM Entertainment assured fans that the concert is a go. In a statement with Star News, SM Entertainment said, "EXO's concert next week will go on as planned. As it is their first solo concert, they are working hard to bring out their best."

When asked about Kris, the agency rep said, "We've had no luck in reaching him recently. So at this moment we're still not sure about his participation in the concert." It's understandable for SM Entertainment to tread on the issue with great caution, as their stocks went down to 5.28% since the news of Kris' lawsuit went out.

Meanwhile, EXO members are also beginning to open up about the issue. In a separate interview with an acquaintance of EXO, it was said that the members had no previous knowledge about Kris' decision to file a lawsuit. The move came out of nowhere, shocking the members as much as it did the fans.

In an interview with EXO-K backstage on "M! Countdown", Suho said, "All the members had a conversation. We don't understand Kris' actions at all. Everyone was caught off-guard and has mixed feelings." In addition, when he received the award for EXO's "Overdose", Suho said, "Thank you for the big award. Thank you to all the people who love us. It's Teacher's Day, so I want to thank Lee Soo Man sunsaengnim. We won't forget this blessing. I sincerely love the EXO members. Our motto is, 'We are one,' and like the motto says we'll become an EXO that think about EXO and our fans instead of just our individual selves. We'll work hard. Thank you. We are one. EXO, I love you."
