Previously, Kris had filed a lawsuit stating to end his contract with SM Entertainment which has been a shock to both EXO and the fans.

Still unreachable, Hankyul, which is the law firm in charge of Kris’ case, stated that the EXO member’s stand in an interview with Chinese media outlet Sina on May 16.

Hankyul stated, “Kris spoke with his agency [SM Entertainment] several times, asking for equal treatment and for the agency to give consideration to his own ambitions as an artist. He had received movie and drama proposals, but these were refused by SM on several occasions,” expressing that Kris wanted to try acting.

When asked about the idols no-show in his solo activities and auditions for over a month, the company said, “Kris did not leave the team in secret and participate in any auditions or other solo activities,” and continued, “Kris’ agency was aware of all of Kris’ official and unofficial activities.”

For the meantime, SM has released a statement announcing that the upcoming EXO solo concert will push through as planned, and that seeing Kris is not sure at the moment.
