Last week, Wollim Entertainment worried fans with the news that INFINITE's Hoya had obtained an injury but assured them that the singer is doing okay. However, Woollim Entertainment now reveals that Hoya's ankle injury seems to be more severe than they had expected.
After going through thorough medical examinations, it was found out that Hoya pulled a ligament and his cartilage had become infected. Thus, the overall injury has now been deemed more serious than they first thought.
On August 1, a representative said that Hoya is required to wear a cast for one to two months, and was advised by doctors to take a break. The problem, however, is that INFINITE is scheduled to have a series of small-theatre concerts for "That Summer 2" this August 7.
While the agency is planning to reorganize the group's placement and positions for their performance, it was revealed that Hoya is willing to perform at the concerts and take painkillers so that he continue with his schedule as planned.
The rep said, "The other members are working hard to modify the placements for Hoya through last minute rehearsals, but Hoya's always had a strong will, so we have not reached a definite conclusion as of yet."
In related news, INFINITE's shows on August 7, 10, 14, and 16 have been sold out.
