Kangnam Shows Positivity and Cheerfulness Despite Low Bank Balance

While some are having a blast, some idols like Kangnam are struggling financially. Things aren't always easy for idols. While success may have landed on other idols' doors, some have to push even harder to make a more prominent name in the limelight.

Things aren't always easy for idols. While success may have landed on other idols' doors, some have to push even harder to make a more prominent name in the limelight. On MBC's "I Live Alone" M.I.B member Kangnam revealed the shocking figures on his current bank account balance.

As the title suggests, Kangnam showed how he is surviving living alone in Korea and away from his family in Japan. Other than having to contend with being apart from his family, Kangnam also has to struggle with idol-related matters.

Unlike other male idol groups, M.I.B has not yet become dominantly popular in K-Pop. With this, Kangnam expressed his frustrations. "I want to be busier," the M.I.B member said. Kangnam explained that since M.I.B isn't that famous yet, they don't have packed schedules and are not book for that many projects. "When I watch TV, I do get jealous of seeing idols on TV who have busy schedules. We were promised by our CEO that we'd make it big once we debut," Kangnam shared. But despite his frustrations and doubts, Kangnam showed a fighting spirit as he promised to work hard and remain full of hope until the end.

To show that idol life isn't always glitz and glamour, Kangnam visited the back to check how much he had left in his bank account. To his surprise, he found out that he only had 3,422 KRW left (3 USD). Kangnam at first could not believe the numbers, so he asked the teller to check if there had been some error. Upon confirmation that the said balance was indeed correct, Kangnam called his manager to ask for help. Unfortunately, his manager couldn't do so much for him as he his financially struggling as well. The only difference between them is that Kangnam's balance isn't in the negative unlike his manager's.

Throughout the show, Kangnam reminded him that he should still be thankful at having been able to maintain a positive account balance. Kangnam's positive disposition and humble and hardworking character inspired a lot of viewers and earned him a lot of respect and praise.
