The longest running girl group is in the midst of news that they are about to break up due to members' contract ending.
On November 18, news outlet OSEN have talked to a Star Empire representative who stated, "Currently, member Ha Jooyeon (also known as Baby J)’s contract has ended, and it is also true that Park Semi’s contract will be ending this month. Whether or not the group will stay together has yet to be decided."
The rep[resentativesaid that Park Semi is currently filming the drama, "Boarding House 24" and is set to discuss her contract details with management as soon as the drama has ended.
Jewelry is the longest running girl group in South Korea, starting in 2001. The group had many line-up changes in the group, however they also had a lot of songs that hit the charts.
The most recent line-up change was last March with the withdrawal of member Kim Eunjung from Jewelry due to expiration of her contract. Previous members were Seo In-young and Park Jung-ah.
