Court Orders Lee Ji Yeon and GLAM's Dahee to Serve Three Years in Jail

After the whirlwind news about Lee Byung Hun's blackmailing incident, the court gives their decision

On December 16, the case of Lee Byung Hun went on its third trial and the court has ordered the defendants GLAM's Dahee and Lee Ji Yeon to serve three years in jail.

The prosecution stated, "Dahee and Lee Ji Yeon admitted to being accomplices. However, they denied planning the crime and doing the crime itself. The crime is severe and strict punishment is needed so we demand a three-year sentence."

They added, "In asking for this sentence, we have considered that the crime involved the two (ladies) planning the crime and using private recordings to extort money. They have shifted the blame to the victim and they didn’t repent or self-reflect. They have caused great psychological damage to the victim’s family as well."

Evidences such as the text messages of Dahee and Lee Ji Yeon to Lee Byung Hun which was extorting money has been presented also in court.

The prosection stated, "Although it is argued by the defense that Lee Ji Yeon and Lee Byung Hun were in a romantic relationship, the meetings between those two people were very few. There isn’t any truth to the relationship of the two considering that the messages she sent with Dahee belittles Lee Byung Hun."

Meanwhile, Lee Ji Yeon's side said that the case was premediated and that the text messages of Lee Ji Yeon to Lee Byung Hun were not complete and has been partially submitted.

Lee Byung Hun had filed a lawsuit because of blackmailing by GLAM's Dahee and Lee Ji Yeon.
