IU Confesses Her Secret Why Her Songs Have Topped the Charts

On the SBS' radio program "Kim Chang Ryul's Old School," singer IU confessed what her lucky charm is in the songs topping the charts.

DJ Kim Chang Ryul asked, "Your hit songs 'A Good Day', 'You & I', and 'The Red Shoes' are all three words (characters in Korean) long, but was that intentional?"

 With the interest of everyone, IU replied, "Three words, this is considered a jinx among our staff members. Until now, three words have done well, so we thought to continue that way. When it becomes time to challenge it or venture out, I said we should go for four words, but it's not the right moment yet."

IU's third Korean studio album, "Modern Times" was released last October 8. Her single, "the Red Shoes," has topped the music charts in Korea. It is also in the number 1 spot for the Billboard K-pop Hot 100, making it the singer's third single which hit number one after the song, "You and I."

Listeners of the said broadcast commented, "After hearing about it, it does seem true," "Hope you break the jinx someday," "IU is cute as always," and, "But 'Boo' was a hit, too."
