Jinusean: "We're Just Your Neighborhood Ahjusis Who Preach Hip Hop"

Jinu and Sean showcased their crazy and fun personality in a pictorial and interview in "HIGH CUT".

Veteran hip hop duo Jinusean recently made their first comeback in 11 years with the track "Tell Me One More Time". As part of their grand return, Jinusean participated in a pictorial and interview with HIGH CUT magazine.

In the photo shoot, Jinu and Sean showcased their crazy and fun personality. They also showed how their catching up with the changing times by sporting some old school and modern outfits. What's more striking is that in one photo, Jinusean jokingly looked teary eyed as they looked at their 1^st and 2^nd albums which was first released 18 and 16 years ago respectively.

Jinusean shared how their comeback came to be after 11 years of hiatus from the music scene. Jinu said, "After we made an appearance on 'Infinity Challenge' we realized that a lot of people were happy to see us again. A lot of fans wanted us to have a comeback, so we took courage from that."

Sean added,"Jinusean's music was on hiatus. We opened our closed doors after 'Infinity Challenge'. We had to pave the way for us. We paved the road for Jinusean once again."

The duo also talked about their latest single "Tell Me One More Time". Sean also expressed the duo's desire to prepare a full-length album, but Jinu responded, "That's just Sean's plans. Yang Hyun Suk told us, 'if you don't get #1 with ['Tell Me One More Time'], I won't let you release a full album.' Thus, we have to get #1 on the music charts at least once."

Jinusean is considered one of the iconic old-timers in the Korean hip hop scene, thus the two shared their thoughts on how hip hop music has evolved in Korea. The duo shared, "What we did was introduce people to hip hop. Back then and up to now, there are still many artists who are better than us. Now we're just you're neighborhood ahjussis who preach hip hop." Even after all these years and despite all the fame, Jinu and Sean are still the most grounded guys around.
