With the series finale of the KBS drama "Blood", Goo Hye Sun expressed her apologies due to the negative feedback she has received for her acting.

Through her agency YG Entertainment, Goo Hye Sun expressed her thoughts on the ending of "Blood".

"My heart is very apologetic to the staff and the actors who went through with this production despite the reprimands to have me interpret my character in a better way. I am thankful to the staff, to my seniors and juniors who always treated me warmly. Also, I want to thank the viewers who enjoyed 'Blood'."

The lead stars of "Blood", Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun, both received backlash for their acting performance in the drama. Viewers commented that Goo Hye Sun was over-exaggerating her acting. They also complained that Goo Hye Sun always used the same tone and expression and paid little attention to how certain scenes needed different emotions. Some also noted that Goo Hye Sun's acting was sub-par compared to the rookie actors in the drama, which allegedly made her performance all the more awkward to watch.

In her defense, Goo Hye Sun previously revealed that she put in the effort to change her image just to fit her character.

Ahn Jae Hyun, however, was criticized for mumbling his lines to the point that the audience could barely understand what he was saying. The actor's performance reflected negative on the staff of the show whom the viewers blamed for casting someone with little experience.
