Top international idol-actor Rain and former EXO member Kris (Wu Yi Fan) sashayed on the red carpet of one of the biggest gatherings in the fashion industry, the annual Met Gala. This year's event saw a parade of stars in awe-worthy and elaborate (some shocking) outfits intricately crafted to the tune of the night's theme "China: Through The Looking Glass".
Kris (Wu Yi Fan) was invited to the exclusive event as one of the China's two male representatives. Kris and his co-representative, actor-singer Chen Kun, and Rain brushed shoulders with some of biggest names in fashion, music, film, business, sports, and politics. The grandiose affair caters to a very exclusive list of hand-picked invitees as overseen by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, and includes personalities such George Clooney, Lady Gaga, Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway, Marc Jacobs, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more.
Kris attended the event in a white custom-made Givenchy suit. As he walked the runway he was seen accompanying Angelica Cheung, the editor-in-chief of Vogue China. The singer-actor's preparation for the event was well documented by digital magazine Vogue Mini. Givenchy's creative director Riccardo Tisci was also photographed with Kris, and the picture was later featured on the brand's official Instagram page.
Rain, on the other hand, wore a suit from MCM, a German brand which Rain is an ambassador of. He was photographed with Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" star Fan BingBing.
For this year's theme, showcased at the Met Gala were Chinese arts and artifacts as well as Chinese-inspired dresses.
